Editorial standards

Where every number comes from

Prices are checked against the vendor's own published pricing page. When a vendor doesn't publish prices (ADP, Paychex), we say so and cite third-party sources with a clear label rather than inventing a number. Every pricing table carries the date we verified it, and the data file behind each table notes the exact source URL for each row.

Update policy

We re-verify the pricing tables at least quarterly and immediately when a vendor announces a change. Updated pages carry a new verification date at the top. Readers can report stale numbers via the contact page; corrections are checked and published before anything else in the queue.

Advertising and affiliate separation

Rankings and verdicts are written before anyone talks to us about money. Vendors cannot buy a placement, kill a review, or preview a negative finding. Affiliate links, when present, are money links like any other and never change the ranking. Display ads are clearly labeled and never placed in a way that interrupts reading on mobile.

What we do not publish

No medical, legal, or specific financial advice. No fabricated statistics, quotes, or reviews. No fake author personas. No scraped or spun content. Topic scope is explained on the about page.

Corrections

Errors get fixed and dated, not quietly edited. Material corrections are noted on the page itself.
